Heavy Apps: Pesto Prosciutto Pinwheels
Always forgetting to thaw your puff pastry? Never again.
Ingredients:
1 sheet Jus-Rol Puff Pastry
1/3 cup basil pesto
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
4-5 slices of prosciutto

Preheat your oven to 425°F

Unroll the puff pastry sheet
Step 3
Spread the basil pesto over the entire surface of the pastry
Step 4
Sprinkle the mozzarella, chopped sun-dried tomatoes, prosciutto, and parmesan over the pesto
Step 5
Starting from one edge, carefully roll the pastry evenly into a tight log
Step 6
Roll the log into the baking sheet from the Jus-Roll package and place in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to firm up (this will make the next step easier!)
Step 7
Using a sharp knife, slice the log into 1-inch thick pinwheels and arrange them on a baking sheet (with the baking paper you wrapped the log in earlier!)
OPTIONAL: you can brush an egg wash over the pinwheels before going in the oven, but not necessary!

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown & puffed

Remove from the oven & serve!
