Heavy Apps: Steak & Pepper Aioli Crostini
Snacks for dinner? We call those Heavy Apps.
Ingredients:
1 baguette
1 steak (we used ribeye)
½ cup mayo
4 garlic cloves
Salt & pepper to taste
½ lemon
Arugula
Pecorino romano
Optional: butter and rosemary for steak basting
Step 1
Slice baguette and brush with olive oil
Step 2
Place baguette slices on a baking sheet and bake at 400 degrees for about 10 min or until slightly golden
Step 3
Mix mayo, lemon juice, minced garlic, and salt & pepper in a bowl (adjust seasonings to your preference)
Step 4
Pat your steak dry and cook in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat with avocado oil. Add butter and rosemary to the pan and baste with a spoon

Now, assemble! Spread aioli on each crostini, followed by arugula, a slice of steak, and a shaving of Pecorino Romano
