Nana’s Spiced Nuts

Caramelized butter and sugar paired with the aroma of browning spices and the toasting of PLANTERS® nuts

When you head to the store in pursuit of a can of nuts to stock your pantry, odds are your brain immediately envisions our little yellow peanut friend cane, top hat, monocle and all.

And there’s a reason for that. For over a century (116 years to be exact), PLANTERS® has been roasting up America’s snacking staple in its best form. Whether it’s honey-roasted cashews, the holiday nut mix, or good ole fashioned cocktail peanuts, nothing beats popping off that blue lid and peeling back the tin seal – and we’d bet that your family members of all generations would agree.

During the holidays, one of our go-to hacks for making more time to enjoy with guests is using Planters to serve alongside cheese boards or on their own during pre-dinner cocktails. Simply follow the steps outlined previously, pour into your favorite thrifted bowl, and place next to a few bud vases.

It’s as easy, sophisticated, and simple as that.

If time permits, our Nana has been taking it one effortless step further with her family favorite: Nana’s Spiced Nuts – and a forewarning that your house is destined to smell divine and perfectly festive for the season should you choose to incorporate this in your next festive gathering.

While these nuts are nostalgic to us, we realized that the combination of caramelizing butter and sugar paired with the aroma of browning spices and the toasting of Planters’ nuts is bound to evoke all the sentimental feels in just about any guest on your list.

You have Christmas lights to go see, gifts to wrap, and loved ones to enjoy, so grab a can of PLANTERS®, depend on Nana, and elevate a classic this holiday season.
