Tart Cherry Sorbet with Homemade Magic Shell

Dinner party desserts in the Summer have to be 1. simple, 2. no bake, & 3. a guaranteed crowd pleaser… this recipe is all of those things.


Ingredients:

  • ½ cup dark chocolate (chopped or chips)

  • ½ tbsp coconut oil

  • 1 lb pitted frozen tart red cherries (~3 cups)

  • ¼ cup sugar

  • ¼ cup water

SERVES 8


Step 1

To make simple syrup, add water and sugar to a sauce pan and heat over medium until sugar is full dissolved


Step 2

Add frozen tart cherries & simple syrup to a food processor and blend until smooth


Step 3

Pour blended cherries into a loaf pan and freeze for at least 8 hours


Step 4

To make the magic shell, add chocolate and coconut oil to a bowl and microwave in 5-10 second increments (stirring in-between) until melted and smooth.

Step 5

Scoop sorbet & pour magic shell on top! Crack into the chocolate shell with your spoon & enjoy!
