Gourmet Gameday: Grinder Dip

The viral grinder sandwich… as a dip.

Ingredients

For the dressing:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise

  • 3 tablespoons sour cream

  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

  • ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder

  • ¼ teaspoon of onion powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

To chop:

  • ¼ lb salami, diced

  • ¼ lb pepperoni, diced

  • ¼ lb prosciutto, diced

  • ¼ lb deli ham, diced

  • ¼ lb mortadella, diced

  • ½ lb provolone cheese (or 1 package), diced

  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated

  • ½ head iceberg lettuce, chopped (about 2 cups)

  • ¼ cup pepperoncini, diced

  • 2 tbsp fresh Italian parsley, diced

 

Step 1

To make the dressing, add all the dressing ingredients to a bowl and mix until combined. Taste for seasoning & store in the refrigerator until ready to add to the dip!


Step 2

Dice all the dip ingredients and add to a large mixing bowl. Mix without the dressing first, to make sure everything is incorporated. Then, add half the dressing, mix well, then add the second half.

Hauste hint: if you Make this a few days before your party, exclude the iceberg lettuce until right before serving to avoid soggy lettuce!


Step 3

Garnish with extra Italian parsley & enjoy with sliced baguette or kettle potato chips!
